About Erika Wilson Wells

Erika Wilson Wells, MSW is a seasoned macro-level social worker who began her career in the Policy Office of Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), Washington, DC. Ms. Wilson Wells currently works for the State of Maryland Office of Crime Prevention and Policy as a Grants Specialist II.

Ms. Wilson Wells started an investment company, ERC Realty, LLC, named after herself and her children in January 2023. The business tagline is Investing in People and Properties. A landlord since 2007, Ms. Wilson Wells provides affordable housing with supportive services including human capital development, business coaching, grant writing, credit repair, and pathway to homeownership.

Ms. Wilson Wells was appointed to the Decatur, GA Housing Authority Board of Commissioners by Mayor Patti Garrett in 2018. Ms. Wilson Wells is originally from Flint, MI and attended Central State University in Wilberforce, OH and Washington University, in St. Louis where she received her M.S.W in Social and Economic Development and serves on the Brown School of Social Work and Public Health’s Alumni Board. Erika is a master trainer in Instructing, Briefing and Facilitating certified by the Department of Defense, and a Grants Financial Management Administrator certified through the Department of Justice. Erika resides in Southeast Washington, DC, with her children, Robeson and Catherine.
